To my dear Converge Family,
This year has been quite the eventful one for us.
It started off with the Taal Volcano eruption where many from the Southern Tagalog region were left displaced. Now, we are in the midst of the pandemic that continues to scourge the entire world.
Many fell victim in the wake of the Covid-19 virus. Their families were left in utter despair. In the blink of an eye, our country became a virtual ghost town. Everyone confined to their own households, lives disrupted as the fear remains constant in their minds.
Yet, while that fear has brought everything into a grinding halt, we continue to serve our people. While everyone is tucked safely in the confines of their homes, we carry on doing what we’re tasked to do, if only to make quarantine life easier for our consumers to bear.
We neither ceased nor wavered in providing the best service only our company can provide to our fellow men. And for that, I thank you with all my heart.
In our country’s history the celebration of Easter has only been interrupted twice: in 1945 during the Second World War and today. Yes, these are extraordinary times. And such times may call for extraordinary measures. As a result, many companies and businesses ceased operations, their employees lost their jobs. And many more will as this pandemic continues.
But our Converge family will remain in tact. No one will be displaced. No one will be retrenched. We will continue to forge ahead as one family.
Further, we will make it an imperative to institute all measures necessary to protect our frontliners from harms way.
This Easter, let this serve as a reminder that we will rise above this pandemic just as Christ resurrected from the dead to save us from all our sins. Let this be a shining beacon for us that in the midst of every trial and crisis, there is a sense of hope that all will be well.
The road ahead will be hard. This crisis is not yet over. Yet, if we continue to cultivate the values of Christianity as we continue to best serve the people as only we can do, the journey will not be as hard.
We stand as one. We journey as one. We heal as one.
